CONNECTED PERSPECTIVES
Kronenhoef-oost, is a neighborhood which is part of the area Woensel Zuidwest, this area has six other neighborhoods.
Step by step I came closer to this neighborhood by listening to the stories of the inhabitants and connecting those together. My main research question was: “How is the connection between the inhabitants of Kronenhoef-oost and how did this connection originate?” During my research there was a point that I came too close to their property. While wandering around, I’ve been sent away in one of the districts because it could affect their sense of security. This is the moment I realized how fragile the feeling of safety is. I wondered how they make themselves feel safe and connected? Who is involved in keeping the connections stable, and what is their opinion? How do they keep this social situation in balance in this neighborhood?
This map is a representation of how those opinions and perspectives about connection and their life, are fitting in the surroundings. In the map you will find my observations, story of inhabitants and the story of a connector working in that area. The perspectives were sometimes aligned and sometimes contradictory.
