EQUAL GATHERING SPACE
A space to value the check in moment before the meeting and after, to allow everyone to feel seen and motivated to participate.
A communal way of living requires another way of organization. Where everyone is equal, teams should be well balanced in input and division. As we hurry into meetings and immediately put the case on the table, it’s often forgotten the crucial part that is the check in and check out. This design is using an existing method to create a space from group participation and a large piece of fabric. Inside the tent the check in moment will be guided by a textile object with the check in questions, and it goes around the group as a talking stick. While sitting in this circular space you look everyone in the eyes, and no one can be left out. With re-used festival air lounges, the colours aim to stimulate an honest, safe check in space.
