VULNERABLE AND POWERFULL
This is a design anthropology research and a process of a growing friendship bond put together in a book. The research question was: How is Natacha creating alignment in her life by connecting body, mind and living space?
In this project I worked together with four other design students. We wanted to get to know more about a conscious lifestyle where connection with our true inner nature stood central. We researched Natacha and her way of living. Natacha is 32 and practices a tantric and yogi lifestyle. How will this teaching and mindset affect someone’s life and how does this person live within society? How can you integrate such a lifestyle where listening to what you feel, trusting and anticipating on this is important and has to exist into a society where everything seems to be focused on the total opposite?
In our research we made use of some different design anthropology research methods, trying them out. We made a cultural probe named Woody, a wooden stick including a note book where Natacha could write down her experiences while interacting with the object. We used de elicitation interview method using objects and space to find out more about her specific way of placing objects and interacting with in the house. We followed her morning ritual and other activities.
